Low smartphone adoption hindering digital transformation agenda, UCC
Speaking during the formal kickoff of the 2024 Global Symposium for Regulators 2024 (GSR-24) in Kampala, the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Executive Director noted that Uganda’s smartphone penetration rate is still only 22%, which makes it challenging to fully advance the digital agenda.
